Ever Heard of The Suicidal Song? You're Beautiful..It's True

I have been contemplating whether shall i blog this out and share this with all of you. Anyway today's entry will be very WORDY and disturbing: Names of the composer, lyricist and song title have all been altered by me to protect young readers from being too curious to search for the song on the internet. I don't take responsibility should something happen if u managed to find the song.

One night, i was damn bored so i thought of searching for some spooky urban legends to frighten myself and i came across this article whereby it says there's this song which inspired many suicide cases. People have committed suicide while listening to it, with the lyrics in their hands, or with the lyrics in their suicide notes.

"Good Morning Superman" was written in 1933 by R.S. The song supposedly drew little (adverse) attention until 1936, when it began to be connected with a rash of suicides in Country-H and was allegedly banned there. American musicians and singers soon jumped at the chance to record instrumental and translated versions of the "suicide song," and by the end of 1936 several recordings were available to American audiences. (The Billie Holiday version, recorded several years later, was probably the most popular English-language version of "Good Monring Superman."

Up to seventeen suicides were purportedly linked in some way to the song "Good Morning Superman" in Country-H before the song was (allegedly) banned. These "links" included people who reportedly killed themselves after listening to the song (either from a recording or performed by a band), or who were said to have been found dead with references to "Good Morning Superman" (and/or its lyrics) in their suicide notes, with "Good Morning Superman" sheet music in their hands, or with "Good Morning Superman" playing on gramophones.

Many claims are made about the reaction to "Good Morning Superman" by authorities, from "discouraging" public performance of the song to an outright ban on it.

Some claimed cases of suicide (up to "200 worldwide") in both the USA and Britain to the English-language version of "Good Morning Superman" (including "young jazz fans" who became depressed after hearing translated version of the song). Likewise, while some sources say that there were no restrictions whatsoever placed on the song in the USA, others claim that it was "banned from the airwaves." (Sometimes the ban is said to have been directed at a particular version of the song, such as Billie Holiday's recording of it.) Some sources even claim that a sort of "compromise" ban was enacted as many radio stations played only the instrumental version of the song. The B.B.C. deemed it too depressing for the airwaves.

Sources reported that in the U.S, a policeman was disturbed by his neighbour's constant repeating of the song on one midnight. He went to his neighbour's unit and opened the unlocked door to only discover a woman was lying dead beside the gramophone which was playing "Good Morning Superman".

There are many claims to the History of the song, one of which is that R.S wrote this piece to his former girlfriend who had just left him. Later on his girlfriend committed suicide and left a note reading simply "Good Morning Superman".

R.S did indeed commit suicide, jumping from a building in 1968. Some sources claiming that he was depressed because he'd never been able to produce another hit after "Good Morning Superman."

Up to this day, the song continued to be recorded and remixed by various artistes and sold.

That night, i tried to find the original version mp3 of that song. I didn't know whether was it the original version i've found, but after having downloaded 100% of that file, i was already abit nervous and then just after i pressed 'open' to play, the top right hand corner of my monitor screen appeared 'Speakers MUTE icon'. God knows why, i was so scared i immediately sent that file to the recycle bin and emptied it then un-mute my speakers. I have told this incident to some of my machis and stupid lu wants to download that song. Crazy woman.

Ok enough of paranormal stuffs, anyway today i came up with a dieting regime for myself. Ok i hear alot of FORGET IT, NOT AGAIN, BULLSHIT, GO AND DIE LA U subconsciously. Anyway the plan i call it 'YOU'RE BEAUTIFUL' is however still at its initial stage, i only planned for my meals for the next one month starting tommorrow. Here are some of the points:

- Cut down on Rice and Bread.

- Strictly no Junk Food, FastFood and soft-drinks.

- Eat only a palm size portion for every meal.

- 5 small meals a day. No food after 10pm.

- More Veggies and Fruits.

- Never give in to temptation and friends if they ever force u to eat.

This is a sample of what i'll be eating in some of my meals for the next month:




An orange and a packet of vitasoy.



Yes, that shall be for my tea breaks and early suppers at 9pm for the next 30 days, provided if nothing goes wrong, starting tommorrow. I have already told my dad to stock up the vitasoy, more fruits, milk and fruit juices. Eliminate all nuggets, seaweed chicken and whatever frozen ready-to-cook food. Im gonna throw all the instant noodles' flavourings for the soup base.

Im so gonna need all of your, especially my machis', support for this and yep so thats basically my dieting regime ala 'Mission Impossible' for the next 720 hours starting from 0600 Hrs on 7 September 2006. Together let's eat healthy! YOU'RE BEAUTIFUL, I HAVE SEX APPEAL, NO MORE A WATERMELON FOOL.

Im eager to see some results by the end of this intense program. Let's anticipate together for my upcoming svelte silhouette, oh just by thinking of it im already damn excited la, im sure you guys know how i feel right now. Meanwhile i shall finish up my dinner ala my last supper before i start adopting a new gruelling habit in a few hours time.
